Biogas: An Evolutionary Energy Source

Despite the many obvious and fatal flaws of the United States’ reliance on fossil fuels, we continue to depend on them as our primary energy source.
These fossil fuels—even as they become increasingly scarce—have proven to be a dangerous and costly way to power our machinery and buildings.
The recent economic impacts of the Gulf of Mexico spill will be felt for years to come—reports estimate that general economic output in the region will be down $1.2 billion, with 17,000 jobs lost by 2015. These staggering numbers are in addition to the estimated $22 billion in lost tourism dollars and the $3 billion drop in home values.
